The board publishes the seal artwork itself and warns that a non-compliant seal is an enforcement matter. The size rule is a ceiling, not a floor. The Board publishes the landscape architecture rules as a consolidated document; the edition read here is effective September 6, 2023. The Board's official rule text is hosted by the Texas Secretary of State at 22 TAC Part 1, Chapter 3.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Texas digital landscape architect stamps and seals.
Once you are licensed in Texas, you can generate your seal here and download it immediately. Fill in the form and position your signature if you want one. The layout follows 22 TAC §§ 3.101–3.105 (Subchapter F, The Landscape Architect's Seal), which is the provision the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners will measure the seal against.
Texas’ landscape architect seal rule is 22 TAC §§ 3.101–3.105 (Subchapter F, The Landscape Architect's Seal), administered by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, a different body from the engineering board. The seal must carry “Registered Landscape Architect, State of Texas”, and the diameter of the seal shall be no smaller than one and one-half (1.5) inches. No maximum diameter is stated.
A further 10 requirements, each tied to the subsection that imposes it, are itemised in the Texas requirements section on this page.
The diameter of the seal shall be no smaller than one and one-half (1.5) inches. No maximum diameter is stated. This is set by 22 TAC § 3.102(b).
Yes, but 22 TAC § 3.103(a)(2) forbids the signature or date from concealing or obscuring the name or registration number on the seal, so a signature written across the face of a Texas seal must be placed so the centre text stays readable. (22 TAC § 3.103(a)(2))
Texas does not allow an unsealed landscape architectural drawing to be issued silently: if it is not sealed, signed and dated it must bear the registrant's name, the date, and the statement "Not for regulatory approval, permitting, or construction." (22 TAC §§ 3.101(2), 3.103(b)(1))
The rule states a floor, not a fixed size — "no smaller than one and one-half (1.5) inches" — and sets no maximum, so a larger seal is compliant while a smaller one is not. (22 TAC § 3.102(b))
Each state licenses landscape architects under its own board and its own seal design. Every state below has its own landscape architect stamp generator.
