Your South Carolina Geologist seal from pedigitalstamps.com meets every requirement on this page — the required wording and the layout set out in S.C. Code Ann. § 40-77-290; S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11. Fill in your details and download it in seconds.
The statute and the regulation disagree on one legend. For an engineer licensed after July 1, 2001, S.C. Code Ann. § 40-22-270(1) prescribes "Professional Engineer" while R.49-207(A)(1)(b) prescribes "Licensed Professional Engineer". The Board has published no ruling resolving it. Separately, the Chapter 49 heading still reads "Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors"; the board's name under § 40-22-10(A) is "Professional Engineers and Surveyors". The statute and the regulation use slightly different wording for the same seal: § 40-77-290 speaks of the "title" registered professional geologist, Regulation 131-11(A) of the "legend" Registered Professional Geologist. South Carolina registers geologists rather than licensing them, so the seal reads "Registered", not "Licensed".

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about South Carolina digital geologist stamps and seals.
Once you are licensed in South Carolina, you can generate your seal here and download it immediately. Fill in the form and position your signature if you want one. The layout follows S.C. Code Ann. § 40-77-290; S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11, which is the provision the South Carolina State Board of Registration for Geologists (S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation) will measure the seal against.
South Carolina’s geologist seal rule is S.C. Code Ann. § 40-77-290; S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11, administered by the South Carolina State Board of Registration for Geologists (S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation), a different body from the engineering board. The seal must carry “Registered Professional Geologist”, and no diameter is prescribed. Section 40-77-290 requires a seal of the design authorized by the board and states no dimension, and Regulation 131-11(A), the board's operative seal rule, lists only the name, registration number and legend without any size or shape.
A further 7 requirements, each tied to the subsection that imposes it, are itemised in the South Carolina requirements section on this page.
S.C. Code Ann. § 40-77-290; S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11 governs the South Carolina professional geologist’s seal but does not prescribe a diameter. Sizes quoted for South Carolina elsewhere generally come from stamp suppliers’ catalogues rather than from the rule. What the rule does require is that your name and license number stay clearly legible.
Regulation 131-11(C) places the imprint, signature and date on the cover page of geologic reports bound in book form, but on each sheet of unbound geologic drawings, cross sections or maps. (S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11(C))
Regulation 131-11(E)(7) requires the electronic graphic to contain the same words and have substantially the same graphic appearance and size as the seal described in 131-11(A). (S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11(E)(7))
Regulation 131-11(D) prohibits additions, deletions or other revisions to a sealed document unless the changes are themselves sealed, dated and signed by the registrant who made them or under whose direction they were made. (S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 131-11(D))
