The Nevada rules in full, with citations

NAC 625.610 was not touched by the board's 2024-2025 rulemaking, LCB File R007-24, which amended the professional land surveyor standards of practice at NAC 625.655 and 625.666. Do not confuse NAC 623.175, which describes the Board's own seal as two concentric circles of about 1 1/2 and 1 7/8 inches, with the registrant's seal in NAC 623.755.

FAQ

Nevada Interior Designer Seal FAQs

Frequently asked questions about Nevada digital interior designer stamps and seals.

How do I obtain a digital Nevada interior designer seal or stamp?

Once you are licensed in Nevada, you can generate your seal here and download it immediately. Fill in the form and position your signature if you want one. The layout follows NRS 623.185; NAC 623.755, 623.763, 623.766, which is the provision the State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design will measure the seal against.

What are the requirements for the Nevada interior designer stamp or seal?

Nevada’s interior designer stamp rule is NRS 623.185; NAC 623.755, 623.763, 623.766, administered by the State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design, a different body from the engineering board. The seal must carry “Registered Interior Designer”, and the seal is not circular and no diameter is given. NAC 623.755(1)(a) requires the seal to "be an equilateral triangle, each side of which must be 2 1/2 inches."

A further 10 requirements, each tied to the subsection that imposes it, are itemised in the Nevada requirements section on this page.

What size does a Nevada interior designer stamp have to be?

The seal is not circular and no diameter is given. NAC 623.755(1)(a) requires the seal to "be an equilateral triangle, each side of which must be 2 1/2 inches." This is set by NAC 623.755(1)(a).

Is the Nevada interior designer's seal a circle?

Nevada's registered interior designer seal is an equilateral triangle with 2 1/2 inch sides, not a circle; the circular 1 7/8 inch seal in the same rule chapter belongs to architects (NAC 623.750) and residential designers (NAC 623.760). (NAC 623.755(1)(a); NAC 623.750; NAC 623.760)

Does a Nevada interior design document need wording outside the seal?

Beyond the seal, NRS 623.185(4) requires every plan, drawing, specification or other document prepared by a registered interior designer to carry a statement that it was prepared by a registered interior designer registered under chapter 623. (NRS 623.185(4))

Which Nevada documents do not have to be stamped?

NAC 623.763(5) exempts as-built plans, record plans, bid documents, construction-progress observation reports and cost estimates from stamping, so sealing them is not required. (NAC 623.763(5))
