Michigan PE seal requirements: size, wording, and the rule that sets them
As of
Michigan's rule, R 339.16032, fixes the wording and the layout but not the size. The seal shows "State of Michigan" and "Licensed Professional Engineer" together with your name and your full license number as it appears on your state-issued license, in a design substantially equivalent to Figure 32 in the rule. No diameter is prescribed.
The rule fixes the wording and the layout by reference to Figure 32 but says nothing about diameter.

- Signature date

- City on seal

Is there a required diameter for a Michigan PE seal?▾
The rule prescribes no diameter. The 1⅝-to-1¾-inch range quoted for Michigan does not appear in the Administrative Code. (Mich. Admin. Code R 339.16032)
