Diameter

No diameter is prescribed. OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(2) requires only that the seal "be a circle" containing the name, license number and legend, and 59 O.S. § 46.42 states no dimension; the word "inch" does not appear in either the Act or OAC 55:10.

Expiration date

Both the statute and the rule fix the seal's contents as name, license number and the legend, and neither adds an expiration or renewal date.(59 O.S. § 46.42; OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(2))

Signature date

Technical submissions must be "sealed, signed and dated," and the rule places the date on the seal itself: "The handwritten or electronically generated date shall be affixed across their seal."(59 O.S. § 46.42; OAC 55:10-11-8(c))

City on seal

Neither 59 O.S. § 46.42 nor OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(2) requires a city, address or place of business in or beside the seal.(59 O.S. § 46.42; OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(2))

• "Each licensed interior designer shall have a seal, the image of which must contain the name of the licensed interior designer, the person's license number and the words, 'Licensed Interior Designer, State of Oklahoma'."(59 O.S. § 46.42)
• "The seal of a Licensed Interior Designer shall be a circle and shall contain their name, Oklahoma license number and the words, 'Licensed Interior Designer, State of Oklahoma.'"(OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(2))
• "Every individual authorized to practice architecture, landscape architecture, or licensed interior design by a License shall procure a seal with which to identify all technical submissions, addenda, field orders and other documents of service issued by the Licensee for use in this State."(OAC 55:10-11-8(a))
• "The seal required shall be of a type that makes an image on the surface of original documents and duplications of original documents. Both the use of a rubber stamp or electronic image is permissible."(OAC 55:10-11-8(a)(1))
• "All technical submissions prepared by such licensed interior designer, or under the responsible control of the licensed interior designer, shall be sealed, signed and dated ..."(59 O.S. § 46.42)

• "An Architect, Landscape Architect, Licensed Interior Designer or Entity shall retain a copy of all technical submissions produced for a minimum of ten (10) years following the date of preparation."(OAC 55:10-11-8(g))
• "No licensed interior designer may sign or seal interior technical submissions unless they were prepared by or under the responsible control of the licensed interior designer," subject to the adoption and integration exception in paragraph 1.(59 O.S. § 46.42(1))
