Your Mississippi Land Surveyor seal from pedigitalstamps.com meets every requirement on this page — the required wording, the layout and the diameter set out in 30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2 (Seals). Fill in your details and download it in seconds.
Rule 6.2(1) sets a two-inch diameter for the seal of the Board itself, which is imprinted on the certificates the Board issues. It is not the licensee's seal, and the two are often conflated. Separately, Miss. Code Ann. § 73-13-83 prints the post-July 1, 2004 surveyor legend as "Professional Surveyor" while the Board's current rule illustration reads "LICENSED PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR"; the illustration is the design the Board has authorized, which the statute defers to.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Mississippi digital land surveyor stamps and seals.
Once you are licensed in Mississippi, you can generate your seal here and download it immediately. Fill in the form and position your signature if you want one. The layout follows 30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2 (Seals), which is the provision the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors will measure the seal against.
Mississippi’s land surveyor seal rule is 30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2 (Seals), administered by the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. The seal must carry “Licensed Professional Surveyor”, and circular in form and from 1 5/8 inches to 2 inches in diameter.
A further 4 requirements, each tied to the subsection that imposes it, are itemised in the Mississippi requirements section on this page.
Circular in form and from 1 5/8 inches to 2 inches in diameter. This is set by Rule 6.2(2)(b).
Not since 2004 — the word "Land" dropped out of the legend. Miss. Code Ann. § 73-13-83 provides that from and after July 1, 2004 each person licensed as a professional surveyor obtains a seal bearing the licensee's name and the legend "Professional Surveyor", and the Board's current rule illustration, which is the design the statute defers to, reads "LICENSED PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR". Only surveyors licensed after June 30, 1991 but before July 1, 2004 hold the legend "Registered Professional Land Surveyor", and those seals remain in use. (Miss. Code Ann. § 73-13-83; 30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2(2)(b) and (2)(c))
The Board's illustration shows it prefixed "PS-", and this is where the surveyor's seal parts company with the engineer's: the engineer illustration in the same rule shows the number bare. Rule 6.2(2)(b) prescribes the wording only by reproducing seal images — there is no prose sentence anywhere in the rule or the statute on how to format the number — so the artwork is the whole instruction, and copying the engineer's treatment onto a surveyor's seal departs from it. (30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2(2)(b))
No — the rule illustrates one dual seal, reading "LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER AND SURVEYOR" and carrying both numbers, prefixed "PE-" and "PS-". Note that the rule's dual legend drops the second "Professional", while the statute words the same dual legend "Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor"; and a dual licensee who qualified after June 30, 1991 but before July 1, 2004 holds the older form, "Registered Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor". (30 Miss. Admin. Code Pt. 901, Ch. 6, Rule 6.2(2)(b); Miss. Code Ann. § 73-13-83)
